Armenia, situated in the Caucuses region of Asia, was the first country in the world to declare Christianity as the state religion. It shares it’s borders with Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the west, Iran to the south and Turkey to the east. It is a mountainous country covered by forests and rivers and beautiful Lake Sevan.
The country contains many ancient monasteries, often in incredible scenic locations. Yerevan, the capital of Armenia is a modern, thriving city with many cafés, bars and restaurants and is an increasingly popular tourist destination.
