Pokhara Region

The Pokhara region is approximately 200Km from Kathmandu, in central Nepal, close to the Annapurna mountains.


Situated on the banks of Lake Phewa (or Fewa), Pokhara has a most magnificent setting with stunning scenery, adventure activities and some great hotels and restaurants. It is also a base for the start of treks to the Annapurna region. The city also has a number of ancient temples. There are a Tibetan refugee settlements around Pokhara.


Sarangot is a village close to Pokhara that has some of the best views of the Himalaya in Nepal. Many people come to Sarangkot at dawn or dusk to experience the stunning scenic vistas.


Marpha, situated in the Annapurna Conservation Area It’s a pretty stone-lined village on the Annapurna Circuit.


Jomsom is a town in the Mustang District of Nepal. The area provides great trekking, with spectacular views of the Himalaya.
